Q: How long does it take to receive a completion certificate?

A: Completion certificates are typically available within 10 days. For next-day delivery, a $25.00 fee is required.

Q: Is there a refund policy?

A: No, there are no refunds.

Q: What is the cancellation fee for a scheduled driving session?

A: If you need to cancel a scheduled drive, you must call at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. Failure to do so will result in a $75.00 fee, which must be paid prior to the next in-car driving session.

Q: How do I receive my completion certificate after completing online training?

A: After completing 24 hours of online classroom training, students will receive a confirmation email with the completion date. The online training company will mail an online completion certificate. Students should make a copy for themselves and email the original to Littlemiamidrivingschool@gmail.com. Once this is received in-car training can be scheduled.

Q: How long is the online classroom training?

A: The State of Ohio requires that students complete 24 hours of classroom training. Students are allowed only two hours of online training per calendar day. This means that if a student attends classroom training on consecutive days, the earliest they could complete the training would be 12 calendar days from the start date.

Q: What are the permit requirements for attending behind-the-wheel instruction?

A: A valid permit is required to attend behind-the-wheel instruction appointments. Failure to have a permit will result in a $75.00 fee.

Q: Does Little Miami Driving School accommodate students with disabilities?

A: Yes! We are now certified with the state of Ohio to provide driving lessons for both adults and children with disabilities. Our instructors are trained and equipped to ensure that all students receive personalized instruction in a supportive environment.

Q: What is the minimum age requirement to start attending driver's education?

A: The State of Ohio requires students to be 15 years and 5 months old to start attending driver's education. Students can register for a class before this age as long as they will be at least 15 years and 5 months on the first day of class.

Q: What are the instructor qualifications for Little Miami Driving School?

A: All Little Miami Driving School instructors must complete 60 hours of in-class observation time and 16 hours of behind-the-wheel observation time. They must also complete an instructor course and test, pass a physical, FBI and BCI background checks, have a valid driver's license with no more than four points.

Q: What are the requirements to schedule a driving exam?

A: To schedule your driving exam, you must have completed 24 hours of classroom training, 50 hours of behind-the-wheel training, 50-hour affidavit signed by a notary, and have your Certificate of Completion in hand.

Q: How long is the behind-the-wheel instruction duration?

A: Ohio requires 8 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. Little Miami Driving School offers 4 2-hour behind-the-wheel instruction sessions.

Q: Is a temporary permit required for in-car appointments?

A: Yes, all students must have a valid temporary permit at the time of in-car appointments.

Q: Who is allowed to be present during behind-the-wheel instruction appointments?

A: During behind-the-wheel instruction appointments, only the student and main instructor are present in the vehicle. Occasionally, a driving manager or instructor trainee may be present to observe the instruction.

Q: What are the requirements for starting behind-the-wheel training?

A: Behind-the-wheel training may take place after 24 hours of classroom training has been completed (either online or in-person) with confirmation by classroom report or online completion certificate; payment is made in full; the student has completed 24 hours of driving practice with a parent or guardian; and the student has submitted all required application paperwork including a signed Ohio Behind-the-Wheel Agreement.
